The heart of Italian ice cream production.

Empoli

Sammontana Italia's largest plant and one of the largest gelato plants in Europe. It features a state-of-the-art cone line and a fully automated tub line. It also has a trigeneration plant and a photovoltaic system for renewable energy production.

SQUARE METERS OF SURFACE AREA: 85,000 m² of which 31,500 m² are covered, 5,900 m² occupied by a warehouse and 6,000 m² dedicated to a low-temperature storage cell for finished products.

 

1 FULLY-AUTOMATED AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WAREHOUSE of 3,000 m² WITH 5,000 PALLET SPACES, connected to the factory via a covered bridge over the transit road, is used for the storage of raw materials and packaging

 

Annexed to the production plant,

2 OTHER WAREHOUSES for packaging and materials, respectively 2,500 and 900 m² and

AN ADDITIONAL 2,400 m² COLD STORAGE ROOM.

Supporting Excellence in Gelato and Frozen Pastry

Colognola ai Colli

A production that supports the excellence of ice cream and frozen sweet pastry (3 frozen pastry production lines and 8 ice cream production lines, including the new line dedicated solely to the Gruvi stick product).

 

The plant is equipped with a trigeneration system.

In 2023: expansion works (south-east side) to extend the storage cell, add a new packaging warehouse and an area for new changing rooms: the total covered surface area of this area is 1,870 m².

 

The plant consists of two finished product storage cells:

1500 m² for the pastry shop and 5260 m² for the ice cream shop.
